Farewell to The Empress of The Seas. She has been sold and will stop cruising to Bermuda by March, 2008.
This is a view of the centrum - decks 8, 7 and 6. There is a water feature that flows down the scupltures until it reaches deck 2. To the left are glass elevators - a real treat to ride when the ship is pitching and rolling from side to side and front to back and you are moving vertically.
To me, Bermuda is bright blue water, pastel houses and white roof tops.
Twenty-two miles long and less than a mile wide in most places - made up of nearly 150 small islands linked by bridges. Some of the islands are nothing more than a house with a tiny little yard.
The town crier comes out to the very point of Town Cut and fires the cannon as the ship heads in to St. George. Oh Yay, Oh Yay, Oh Yay.........
We cruised past the town square of St. George. We later walked back to explore the unfinished church (center - dark stone building).
Could it be? Is that really me in a picture? I spent most of my time on the other side of the camera!
Chuck will tell you that I let him ride the jetski......the truth is I made him ride the jetski. Almost a week later I just have to say the word 'jetski' and he grins from ear to ear!
No explanation necessary. The prize. . . . a hat!
