Malibu

Yes it does rain in Southern California........at least in Malibu

And then the sun comes back out for another beautiful sunset....in Malibu.

Surf City - Huntington Beach, CA

Surfin' USA.

This dude looks like he is running on the waves. Makes us laugh every time we look at him.

Just after sunset at Huntington Beach pier, October 26th.

Sunrise in Long Beach

These were taken on Wednesday morning, October 24th. The sky was very smoky from the wildfires burning in San Diego.

Sunset at Venice Beach

We hit Venice Beach in time to catch the sunset..... October, 2007

Architecture

Horseshoe Bay Beach

I know I need more practice but these are still my favorites

I can hear Chuck now - Tripod! Tripod! Tripod! I just had to try it without!
I would have liked to sit in this chair all day.

I just loved the crisp white against the cool blue.

I had been trying all morning to capture this lady in the waste-basket hat. I love that hat!
The unfinished church - still standing 300 years later.

The Empress of The Seas docked in Hamilton.
I don't know how we came to spot this little lizzard in the bushes. While trying to zoom in on him I accidently found another through the lens.
My favorite picture of all.
True Bermuda shorts are not wildly printed. They are dress slacks cut into shorts. Traditional business attire is shorts, knee socks and a suit jacket. Yes, he is wearing shorts, they are almost as pink as his legs.
The Royal Naval Dockyard at sunset.

One of the rare times when you can find a deck chair.
The swimming pool on deck 10.

This used to be Club Med. It's been empty for more than 4 years now.

Sunrise....Sunset

Looking off to the west at sunrise. We were leaving St. George and yes, that is the moon.

Now looking directly at the sunrise.

Another calm morning at sea.

Facing south at sunrise as we were leaving Hamilton.

The sun was setting off to the right. This cloud looked like it was burning within.

Sunset.

Just after sunset - once it gets dark the trail behind the ship takes on a sort of a glow.

We never did sail into this storm. Sunrise on our first full day at sea.
